9th April, 1845.
I have the honor to enclose to Your Lordship a supplementary Report and Estimate for the completion of the road from Victoria to Saiwan, authorized by the Lieutenant Governor, in absence, amounting in the whole to $6431.61, and a Report and Estimate amounting to $46,746.50 for its continuation to Sylane, where it will join the present horse-path leading from Victoria to Checkchu, which latter place I have taken the liberty to name "Stanley" after Your Lordship.
